Jeanne Marie Boyne
Founder
At Posey’s Promise, our mission is deeply personal. As CEO, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and a passion for animal welfare. With over 25 years of Technology Sales experience, currently as a National Account Manager at CCC Intelligent Solutions, my journey into animal advocacy took on new meaning after helping establish other nonprofits, but it was my experience with a special dog named Posey that truly inspired the creation of Posey’s Promise. Posey entered my life after being rescued from a local pound, where she had shut down from the stresses of shelter life. Despite multiple foster placements, Posey struggled emotionally, so the rescue placed her with a local trainer to help restore her spirit and prepare her for adoption. Unfortunately, due to limited options, she remained with this trainer for over a year. Tragically, it was later discovered that she had suffered severe trauma under the care of this abusive trainer.
Despite my love, attention, and the help of a wonderful trainer and a behaviorist, Posey remained a deeply broken soul, fearful of people, other dogs, and even the smallest of sounds. Watching her struggle to find peace, I realized that animals like Posey need more than just physical care—they need behavioral training and emotional healing to overcome their trauma.
That’s why I started Posey’s Promise—to advocate for all animals, including farm animals, companion animals, and wild animals. We provide the resources they need, not only for medical care but also for crucial behavioral support. We help animal caretakers, rescues, and owners by offering funding for professional training, mental well-being, and education on best practices in animal care. Additionally, we offer training programs to help animals develop the skills they need for a successful life. By empowering caretakers to create better environments for the animals in their care, we aim to help them live happier, more balanced lives after enduring difficult pasts. Posey’s legacy lives on in every animal we help, ensuring they get the second chance at life that all animals deserve.

With a lifelong dedication to animal welfare and advocacy, Chris's passion has focused on ensuring the well-being and fulfillment of dogs through education, behavioral training, and compassionate care. His journey began with Downtown Dog, a dog boarding and daycare facility that served the local community while also dedicating itself to rescuing and placing dogs in loving homes. This organization provided a safe, supportive environment that helped rescue dogs heal and transition successfully into new families.
In addition to his work in animal advocacy, he holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University and has spent the majority of his career in the hospitality business. Currently, he works in Facility Management at Labora Group, where he leverages his extensive experience to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service.
To deepen his understanding of canine behavior, Chris became a dog trainer at Bevill Dog Behavior. His goal as a trainer has been to study dog psychology and behavior, emphasizing the importance of the mental and physical fulfillment of dogs and educating their owners. This dual approach fosters stronger bonds and promotes lasting, positive change for both dogs and their families.
This commitment to animal advocacy fuels his work with Posey’s Promise, where we strive to provide education and the resources necessary for comprehensive rehabilitation through behavioral fulfillment training.
